Location
Monuments of this group were found in a valley near the river Chaa-Hol, on the left inflow of Ulug-Hem, 25 km above the mouth of river Hemchik. This district is at the bottom of water basin Sayano-Shushenskii hydro-electric power station now. All monuments of the group, except Е 15, are in museum exhibitions.
E 20 was found in the district of Ulug-Hem on the left coast of the river Chaa-Hol 8 km from its mouth.
It is stored in the Tuva museum. The stele was taken to the Tuva museum in 1961 by the researchers.
Specification
Made of gray-green slate stone. Almost square in transverse section. One side is processed. The lateral sides are smoothed roughly. Edges are distinct.
The epitaph text in 2 lines is located vertically on the processed face. There is a tamga below the inscription.
Size
Height – 179 cm, width – 34 cm, thickness – 48 cm.
Researches
Aspelin found in 1888, following the message of Safyanov. Heikel made a photo of it in 1889 121 (I, XI). Oshurkov made a copy and transferred it to Radloff 122 (LXXXVII, figs. 5).
