[tuγ] тұғ |
“Banner, flag”. Turks fastened at the tip of spears a horse tail and named it “tuγ”, i.e. a banner. Also named “tuγ”, i.e. flags of units from ten, hundred or thousand soldiers. The Turkic Empire had three banners for the right, middle and left wings. |
