“The Arhanana monument”

Location

The inscription is carved on a rock in 40 km from Arhanan hill in Hishig-Ondor sum of Bulgan aimag of Mongolia.

The inscription is on its site.

Specification

The text is carved with a sharp needle on a long granite rock. There are 3 lines of old Turkic inscription.

Size

The first line length is 107 cm, the second line length is 45 cm, the third line length is 35 cm. Height of symbols is 1.5-1.8 cm, depth is 0.1-0.2 cm.

Researches

O.Namnandorzh got pictures and hand written copies in 1966. The scientist of Language and literature institute of Mongolian Academy of Sciences H.Luvsanbaldan prepared paper copies of the inscription¹⁹⁵. Then E.Tryiarsky, S.G.Klyashtornyi, S.Karzhaubay conducted researches ¹⁹⁶. Kazakh scientists conducted researches in 2001 and 2004.
