Mainz 377 (T II T 20).

Location

Found in the course of the archeological excavations during the Second German Turfan expedition (Zweite Preußische Turfanexpedition 410) in East Turkestan.

It is stored in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften).

Specification

A fragment with partially kept empty place on the right field (3.6 cm).

Manuscript: the front side is in Old Turkic,the back side is in Chinese.

Paper: thick, brownish, in the middle darker, right edge is spotty.

Quantity of lines: 6 lines in front.

Designations: on the left bottom corner of the front side: Т ІІ (stamp), Т 20 (pencil); on the right top corner there are stickers Mainz 377 and TII. T. 20.

Size

Distance between lines: 1.3 cm.

7.7 cm (height) x 14.7 cm (width).

Researches

L.Clark 422 claims that this fragment is a part of the manuscript of the story «Mentions Narzan the Minister». Sertkaya 424 conducted researches.
