“The Hoyt Tamir texts”, “The Taihar Rock writings”
Location
The texts were found on Taihar rock. The rock is 39 m high and located southeast from Hoyt Tamir river of Ih-tamir sum of Arkhangai aimag of Mongolia at N47º2´ - E101º.
The Taihar texts are on site. But old names and words in different colors were written over by late intruders. Therefore it is difficult to tell, that the texts are kept well there.
Specification
There were written Old Turkic, Kidan, Sogdian, Chinese, Old Mongolian, Arabian, Tibetan, etc. texts with black, red and other oil colors.
Size
Texts were written in different sizes.
Researches
D.A.Klements announced the first report in 1893. W.Radloff 246, H.N.Orhun 247, S.E.Malov 248 examined 10 old Turkic inscriptions. G.J.Ramstedt, J.G.Granö, P.Aalto 249 examined 26 inscriptions, including earlier known 10 in 1958. H.Perlee, B.Rintchen, Mongolian scientists also conducted researches 250. S.Karzhaubay defined 32 old Turkic inscriptions on the rock including earlier known 26.
