Location

Found in the course of the archeological excavations during the First German Turfan expedition (Erste Preußische Turfanexpedition 409) in East Turkestan.

It is stored in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften).

Specification

Fragment of the Chinese book page. The fragment is sealed at the top (1,6 cm).

Manuscript: front page is in Old Turkic, the back page is in Chinese.

Paper: thick, fragile, brown color (written with ink).

Quantity of lines: 6 lines in front.

Designations: there are stickers Mainz 400 and T I-a on the right top corner.

Size

Distance between lines: 1.8 cm.

a: 12 cm (height) x 9.2 cm (width).
