Inscriptions found in Altai are studing from 1818. Then G.Spasskii found first medeval inscription near Charysh river. I.L.Kyzlasov, V.D.Kubarev have brought huge contribution to studying of the Altay inscriptions. There are 78 metadata on Altai inscriptions in our database

As a result of archeological excavations it is clearing up that in territory of Kazakhstan were widely used old-turkic, sogdian writings in past. In our base there is an information about 6 turkic writings
