Found during the archeological excavations of the First German Turfan expedition (Erste Preußische Turfanexpedition 409) in East Turkestan.
It is stored in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften).
Specification
The glazed fragment. This fragment is a part of one manuscript with 173a, b (Wilkens, №575) and U 174a,b (Wilkens, №587). It is considered that the fragment is its average part.
Manuscript: Old Turkic.
Paper: soft, thick, light yellow.
Quantity of lines: 4 lines in each in A, B; written in black.
Designations: A, between 2nd and 3rd lines: Т I D x 20 (pencil). The stickers Mainz 167 (across) and T I D x 20 (vertical) are pasted on the left top part of the external side of glass.
Characteristics: colon marks are outlined in red.
Size
Distance between lines: 0.9 cm.
3.5 cm (height) x 4.7 cm (width).
Researches
L.Clark 422 claims that the fragment is a part of the manuscript of the story "Mentions Demon". Also Sertkaya 424 conducted researches.
