Алдыы-Бель I, Е 12

Location

The first stone found in the hole Aldyy-Bel near the valley of Kuli-Kem in 8 km from its merge with Ulug-Kem (the second stone is е-72).

Made of four-sided greenish slate. Considerably destroyed by wind. The surface of the stone is not polished.

Specification

There are inscriptions on four sides of the stele: 1 line in each, totally 4 lines consists of 50 signs. It is possible to read through only I, IV lines now. II, III lines are erased. Those lines are considered in earlier sources.

Height – 175 cm, width – 32 cm

Researches

Aspelin found in 1888 following the message of Safiyanov. Klements ⁴⁴⁹ investigated in 1981 and made a copy. Researchers of Sayan-Tuva expedition (СТЭАН: Batmanov) investigated in 1965.
