Bombogor Memorial Complex, The

Historical definition

There are names of Basmyl and Qarluq ethnos.

Names

“Shiveetyin chuluun khoshoo (Shiveet tas monument)”, “Bombogor monument”

Location

The complex is located in Shiveeny kherem district northwest from Bombogor sum of Bayankhongor aimag of Mongolia at N46º07´ - E99º31´.

A stone fence, a barrow and a stele are on site.

Specification

The memorial complex consists of a barrow (a circle of size 22-29m), a stele and a stone fence.

There are 4 horizontal lines of the inscription on top of the stele. And there are 32-34 signs carved vertically on a side of the stele.

Size

Sizes of the stele: height 1.33; length 0.20-0.47; width 0.16-0.20 m.

Researches

The complex was found by expedition held by Archeology institute of Mongolian Academy of Sciences in Govi-Altai and Bayankhongor aimags. They published a picture and portrayals of 4 lines of the inscription 413 in 2004. Mongolian scientist T.Battulga 414 examined the inscription of the stele.
